Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Everyone

I am preparing my employer letter and

I have 3 questions about it

1. Firstly I have confirmed my job duties can only match 2283, and I will use 2283 to apply

However, 2283's suggested job title doesn't include mine.

and my current job title is staff software developer which appeared in example tiles of 2173 .

and when I apply work permit, my NOC doesn't be written down in any place, because my LMO is exempt .

finally I got my work permit title is software engineer.

and my offer letter have zero information about my job duties, only a title staff software developer.

so my plan is explain above mess in employer letter.

is it a good idea or not ?

2. My manager changed.

but my manager's manager never changed. I plan to use my manager's manger signature for employer letter.

however, my manger's name who shift to other position appeared in my offer letter, and support letter (when apply work permit )

so my plan is to explain , why my manager changed.

is it a good idea or not ?

3. I once query which NCO code for my job duties, and the government website ask me more details.

So I gave them , then , they tell me, my code is 2283.

but the employer letter is usually one page, if I put all the very detail in there, it will looks a big letter.

so my plan is explain it in another sheet.

is it good idea or not?

Welcome any suggestions.

I know that for #2 cic is least interested to know why your manager changed. As a matter of fact, I did not even submit anything from my manager. I only submitted the HR letter( along with job description).

In my company, HR organization is very complex , they have zero knowledge about what our job duties, so I will use my manager's signature.

I don't think it is a good idea to put an explanation letter because your company's manager is changed. I asked a similar question from my lawyer and he said that any additional document would make the VOs more confused and make your case more complicated. Job offer letter itself is not mandatory and putting a letter to explain a job offer letter is definitely not a good idea.

Title doesn't matter.
For instance, my current title is Senior Financial Analyst, but NOC 2161 fits more with my duties, rather than NOC 1112 (which is the default for financial analysts, and one I used for my initial LMO and former job).
If you look at NOC 2161, there is no mention of financial analyst.

The detail about job duties should be in the reference letter rather than any explanation docs. It should not cause any trouble if the letter is more than one page. Mine was two pages. And in my case, the HR who wrote the letter for me had already left the company when my application was in progress. But no trouble got. So I agree CIC is not interested in who write the letter, but interested in the company's information on the letter, e.g. name, address, website, I guess.

OK, I will do as you said, more question : should in each page include company address , manager phone .etc , manage signature information . or just in the last page ?

I sent mine with the details on the last page only. Doesn't matter if you include those on every page, they just need that information in your letter.
