So I've been reading a lot of stuff on this forum to see what information I could get regarding my deportation, but I've come to realization that most ppl get deported for staying in Canada illegally. However, my case is this, I received a deportation order for "Breach or recognizance"...In other words; I didn't show up for court. What was supposed to show up for court in the first place? because I called the police when I got lost in the country, during winter. Why I didn't show up to court? I was hospitalized for 2 weeks and got let out the day before. As a result of this received a 1 yr probation and was remanded for 21 days. Now to the interesting part I was on a student visa, which was dated to expire after in August 2012. I received a deportation Order a month before. Hence, didn't get a work permit, I was "to be" scheduled for another meeting with CBSA. But my visa was gonna expire before that.....I had no interest in breaking another law or being a criminal. So I left before even getting a date. I did contact the cbsa and probation officer. Even, after contacting the cbsa they still put out warrant on me, I'm supposed to sign some papers to get rid of the warrant. In an effort to keep this shorter, My questions are these:
1: Is it even possible to reconcile these problems, so I can one day return to CA?
2: What's the best approach to take?
Why I would want to return to CA?
1: My grandmother not living there by herself in CA (sad).
2: My girlfriend of 3 years lives in CA (bad). I'm grateful for all suggestions/opinions. .....just for laughs, I graduated a week after getting let out of remand -__-.

Once you've been deported it becomes next to impossible to return using any temporary status (e.g. work visa, student visa, visitor visa).

However the deportation won't stop you from applying to immigrate (assuming you qualify) and won't stop you from being approved for PR (although it will likely take a bit longer to process your file due to the deportation). So I would forget about coming to Canada temporarily and focus on qualifying to immigrate. Based on the info you've provided, your easiest immigration route would be through your girlfriend assuming you are very serious and are either ready to get married or she's ready to live outside of Canada with your for at least one full year to become common law.

I could have sworn I replied to you hours ago. Anyways, thank you for your timely response. It is very much appreciated.
While having my Gf next to me is a wonderful thought and idea. The woman who has changed me in so may ways and even through my deportation, she has repeatedly said that she would marry me, I'd laugh and say "I'm the one that will propose". But the truth is feel troubled when I think about the fact that I'd be a source of inconvenience in her life. I haven't told her this tho. Anyways, I did make plans to establish myself for the next 4yrs. One thing I'd like to inquire about is; what criteria that I could fulfill to make immigration with my Gf's help be at the best possible state? In other words, what would make me a perfect subject despite my deportation for immigration?

The most important thing is having a genuine relationship and being able to prove it with evidence. That's what spousal / common law sponsorship is based on. If you really have that and can prove it - then you can overcome the rest.

There are ways to overcome deportation but it might take a while. You should get a lawyer for this. If you have gotten a ban from Canada for some time due to your deportation, you would have to either try to clear that with a lawyer if possible or wait it out.

The best way to return would be to marry your girlfriend and have her sponsor you for PR. You may feel that you are an inconvenience to her but you should let her decide that. She may prefer to have you inconvenience her if she gets to keep you in her life.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I dont quite understand how you can be deported for the sole reason of calling the cops when stranded? why did that turn into a court order? Is there something I am missing here?
You have got responses from some seniors in the forum so hopefully things shape out for the better for you! good luck!

Same here. Something doesn't add up.
