I have been in Canada for a year. I have a son who has been struggling in issues related to his acceptance in the university from the time we arrived. Now he decided to go back to our home country and finish his degree as he still needs only 2 semesters to graduate. This would need that he leaves Canada for a year. Would that affect his PR card. Is he allowed to leave the country for a whole year. Please provide me with your feedback as I am very worried about this issue.
Thank you,

Thank you,

As i Know and it is written in the cic website somewhere, any1 with a PR can preserve it, if he stays for 2 years from five years.

So if the total time spent in Canada within 5 years is no less than 2 years, he has no problem
