Hello All,
Other day I met one elder man (of Indian origin), who is a Canadian citizen. He said that... unless a student is academically bright or financially strong and/or he has close friends/relatives/people or atleast someone known in community he can call up in case a need arises, some trouble happens... then only one should take the risk of going to Canada.
If one is average, not financially or academically very strong... nor if one has any close relatives/friends or atleast community to have support...then one should not take the risk and come to Canada.
Now,there are thousands of desi students go to Canada who have absolutely no connection, nor they know anyone nor are academically or financially very strong...just average..yet they manage to get jobs and most important PR. While some or many from the Indian communities like the Punjabis and Gujaratis may have relatives/friends/community connections... but in general average desi student don't know anyone in new country... and yet manage to get jobs, PR and settle down.
What do you guys think? Can average desi college student who knows no one in Canada/no community support can succeed there in getting job, PR etc.?
