Dear experienced ppl,

Can you please shed some light on the extent of verification that CIC would do with your employers based on the work experience letters that we submit with our PR application. Will they always verify it from our employer, or they randomly select a fixed percentage of applicants to go through the verification from their employers.

Thanks...

It depends on the IRCC officer(s) handling the application and if he/she may have any doubts about this work experience. IRCC may also select some applications randomly for verification. Verifications can be via a site visit, telephone call, interview, and/or requesting more documents. If your work experience is legit, you don't have to worry about any of this. Good Luck!

It could be completely at random or it could be that they are verifying every letter from a certain geographical area. There is no real way to know. Verification could also include submitting the pay-slip / tax return for the duration of the time you've served at the company. As noscaf2014 said, as long as your experience letter is real and legitimate, you should be fine.

If you provide on company letter head, chances of further investigation are less.
