Hi,

I have observed that once IRCC -Sydney office completes their portion of work on citizenship application which is issuing AOR & IP then the processing it done by local offices. After this stage the applications from different regions follow different timelines based on workload of local offices. This makes treads based on a particular months applicants which track processing timelines not very effective.

In light of this, I suggest that a processing tread is formed according to geography rather than month. I am an August 2018 applicant from Surrey. I would request other applicants from Vancouver and Lower Mainland who had applied in other months to share their timelines. This will allow us to better predict our processing.

I'll start with my timeline:

App. Sent: Aug 22, 2018
App. Received Aug 27, 2018

On the spread sheet you can filter it by selecting the location you would like to see.
Also on the lower bar you could see the data by different province/regions/ month, it gives you a pretty good idea of the general processing time geographically to predict. Honestly I think the current spreadsheet is really great.

There are 2 IRCC office to my knowledge which process citizenship applications in BC. One is in Vancouver and the other in Surrey. There are many other temporary offices across the province in which tests/interviews and ceremonies etc are carried out. I do not know if your local office, which will process your families application, is the Surrey or Vancouver.

I applied in August 2018. It seems from past cases of Surrey applicants that I should get a test/interview letter in April for a test date in May 2019.

Please do update this tread when you have an update on your application. It will help other applicants from Surrey to estimate their processing.

Hey sris. Yes of course I will keep you all informed . In December i called up Cic to inquire about my application and the agent told me that all the background/security checks were done and I've cleared them . He told me it's just waiting now for the Surrey cic office to start sending the test invites
