Vancouver International Immigration - URGENT - Arrival from New Zealand - Visa?

Good day

I have applied online for a Visitor Visa, yet cannot access the online stuff.

I have only applied for a 3 month visitor visa, as I'm coming to see a friend of mine.

I have done all the necessary security clearances, etc.

Yet I'm due to fly out tomorrow afternoon. I have called offices here in New Zealand and in Sydney, yet no one wants to talk to me about my Visa status.

I know they are overloaded with the refugees coming into the country, so processing times will be slow.

If I fly directly to Vancouver tomorrow afternoon.

What would happen at the airport when I arrive there?

I have my friend and her family waiting for me in Toronto.

Please please I really need urgent help here. Especially since I hate flying.

What passport do you hold? If you hold a non-visa exempt passport and require a TRV to enter Canada, then the airline won't even let you board the airplane to come to Canada.

Unfortunately this means you do need a visa to enter Canada.

Without an approved visitor visa, you're going to be refused boarding. The airline isn't going to let you board the airplane in New Zealand.

Unfortunately that's impossible to say. CIC posts a process time of 27 days for Sydney:

But each application is individual and none of us can say how long your specific application will take.
