Vancouver first before SK (PNP)

Hi,

I was nominated under the SK Provincial Nomination Program and will be moving to Canada by the end of this year.

Is it possible to stay first for a few days at the city of Port of Entry? I will be travelling from Manila, Vancouver is likely my Port of Entry, I have relatives there and want to spend their New Year with them.

Certainly, I will reside in SK, buy a plane ticket in advance from Vancouver to SK, same with AirBnB bookings in Regina and/or Saskatoon, and giving advance notice to my friends in the province who I visit upon arrival.
 
You should have no issues landing in BC - provided you can show you have a ticket for an onward journey to SK and can provide an SK address for the mailing of your PR card.

Hi gdp79 , ,congrats... you just received nomination mean you will visit SK or you already have PR? nag apply din po ako sa SK meron na kong nomination hopefully by next year makumpleto ko na..

Hi Besbi, I got my COPR at Federal Level because of my SK Nomination. Will be having a long winter there. Good luck in your application...

ano po ang COPR ... ____ _____ Permanent Residency... ingat po
 
COPR = Confirmation of Permanent Residence; when they issue you a visa to Canada...

Will there be problems if I declare a UPS address while waiting for a permanent place of stay? I'm reading from a forum that this is possible...
