Validity of OPW

My wife has been approved for a 1 year PGD course in BC. Assuming my wife gets a Student permit to start on September 1, 2013 and I get an OWP,


1) what will be the validity of my Open work permit?

2) Will it be 1 year from the date I enter Canada and can I enter Canada on a different date from my wife?

3) Also is the validity for 1 year irrespective of whether or not I get a job or 1 year from the day I get a job?

1) "Work permits for your spouse or common-law partner are valid for the same period of time as your study permit."

2) If you applied together, you should enter together, not doing so will raise questions at least.

3) It ends exactly the day the study permit expires, no matter when you enter Canada or when you get a job.
