Hi, I had been informed by my lawyer whom I appointed to look after my Immigration programe that the score of IELTS is valid if it takes 1 year after the submission of file to Visa office. I applied under Skilled Worker category in Jan 2008 and according to lawyer's advise I took the IELTS in May 2011 and sent over to the law office.
Can anyone advise me whether the advise of lawyer is correct or I may need to sit again for IELTS to justify the laws ?? By the way ,my lawyer's office is in Montreal, Canada.

IELTS scores are valid for 2 years. See:

I would get a new lawyer.

Hi Scylla,

Thanks for sparing your time and quick reply. If you get a new lawyer to attend our query ,it will be highly appreciated if you can share his/her view with me.

Best regards

Hi Scylla,

Did you get any lawyer to confirm the validity of IELTS score.
