Validated Job Offer Outside of Montreal While Working in Montreal

Hi All,

I've recently received my CSQ evaluation under the QSW program. I've got 48 our of 59 which mean I am 11 points short. This does not include IELTS and French. I can get 6 points from IELTS. So I am left with other 6 points.

One option is to get a VJO outside of Montreal because it gives a maximum of 14 points whereas VJO in montreal only gives 8 points. So that mean if I can get VJO from my employer outisde of Montreal I can get up to 14 points.

I'm thinking, we open a branch office outside of Montreal and then reapply for a VJO for the new office location.

Is that possible?

Guess it might work, but better consult a lawyer (in case) if there's a requirement as to number of months in existence before a branch office can apply for VJO.

I am meeting my lawyer on Monday to find out. Plus I will consult another lawyer for the second option.
