Valid WP & VISA but no job

Hi,
I have valid CWP & VISA for 2 yrs but lost the job..My wife has OWP and working..

Am I allowed to stay in country and search for the employer who will file LMO

My wife's employer is not willing to file closed WP for her so I don't have OWP option.

What options I have in this condition..Is it legal to stay in country without job when you have CWP

Hi there, yes you are allowed to stay in Canada until the end of your temporary resident status (usually the work permit end date). You may also look for a job with an employer willing to file for your LMO and apply for a new work permit.
