valid reason to extend the TRV, Please advise

I visited Canada 2nd time this year for the family reunion, my son is living in Canada for more than 8 years. But his income is not sufficient to apply super visa for me. This time I visited as visitor to see my new born grand daughter and my current visa is about to expire. But I want to spend some more time for family re-union and specially spend valuable time with my grand children.

Please advise me to have valid reason to extend my stay

Well, wanting to stay and spend more time with your son and grandchildren is a valid reason. You can apply online for $75, and you should request 1 year of extension, and not just 6 months. It's usually not a problem to extend stay of parents.
