Hello Friends,

Could you kindly help me with the below question in the CRS calculator of federal express entry program.

" Do you have a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (if needed)?"

if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
Am working in Montreal as Business Analyst since Aug 2017. Am currently in a work permit for 2 years ending in July 2019. Should I answer the question as Yes or No?

Some background details -
Q - Complete title of the position you are being offered with the work permit?
A - Business Analyst - NOC 2171 - LMIA exempt
Q - Employer offering you the job
A - Indian IT company located in Toronto
Q - The Canadian province where the employer and place of employment are located
A - Employer is located in Toronto. Place of employment in WP is Montreal

Thanks much for your help.

  • Is the above criteria met? I mean your employer has offered you to work in his company for one year post PR?

To clarify how do we know by when we would get our PR ? My work permit is currently for 2 years and will get extended as the project is long term. So am not sure how I can say when I would get the PR. Pls help to get this understanding.

No one can guess about PR's timeline. According to CIC its 6 months but depends on individual file.
