Hi Senior Members,

I have a peculiar question and need your suggestions regarding the same. My current situation is as below.
I received approval of my H1B petition this year. My company has not yet initiated the stamping process and this might take a few more months. As of now I only have a digital copy of I797. Company does not provide actual I797 until the employee is going for stamping/visa interview.

I have received my ITA and I am ready to submit all documents but I am confused If details of H1B petition need to be provided in my APR. Since I797 is neither a travel document nor a Visa. Do I need to provide the details of the same in my application under travel documents or any other section?

Requesting your valuable responses/suggestions regarding the same.
Thanks in advance!

You don't need to mention anything about your US visa status to IRCC unless you were refused a visa, or denied entry to the US at some point.

Have you filled out your post ITA forms yet? You will understand what is and is not required.
