Hi. I recently submitted my application for permanent residency. I am planning to go on a vacation in about 4 months, which is around when I expect to get a COPR. My worry is what would happen if I get my COPR while on vacation. I applied from within Canada, and my TRV/PGWP will be valid at the time. I'd like to know what the process is like after getting an AOR, do I just happen to get my COPR the day they approve it, or is there a step in between where IRCC would tell me that the checks have all gone through, and that I need to fill in some form after which my COPR gets issued (ie if this scenario is true, I could possibly delay the issuance of the COPR until after I come back).
If not, what other options do I have to travel at that time

They'll tell you your application is approved, and ask you to confirm you're in Canada. My understanding is that if the answer is no, they'll wait until you are back (I don't know if there's a time limit on that).
