Hello all,

Quick question, I started with working with my current company on August 31,2015 and then I went on vacation for January 11,2016 to February 3,2016. I already got 2 weeks paid off but I didn't mention that in letter of employment and I didn't attach reference letter as this is my first job. But I do attach all the pay stubs.

Is those vacation will be calculate as my work experience?

Please advise!!

Vacations are part of employment. When you are on vacation you dont become unemployed. So yes you should count them in experience duration.

So 2 weeks was paid and you went one week approx unpaid? The unpaid period may not be counted. You were employed but you did not work. If it is not mentioned in letter of employment, I think it should be okay. The question is do your pay stubs show for that one week.

I am confused between letter of employment and reference letter in your case. Why do you need reference letter? You only need letter of employment along with your duties.

Is there a discrepancy in the amount of pay on December, January,February and March or are they the same?

Yes.in January they paid me only for 46 hours and in February they paid me 2 weeks pay means 225 hours so 225-157 regular hours for February=75 January 2 weeks vacation pay.

Please advise!

In this case you might want to add up your hours of employment. This is my guess I hope expert members clarify your doubt better.

This would be my advice as well. Count your number of hours.
