Hi,

I am wandering, if i take one or two weeks vacation time and go out from Canada, will it affect to my application which i am going to file on February 2014 where i ll have my 1 year work experience completed?
As long as i have 24 pay stubs i ll apply to CEC..

If you are paid for vacation then it's fine. If not then delay your application a nit so that you make up the time.
I'd suggest waiting a couple of weeks after e year date anyway - just to be on the safe side

Agreed! Paid vacation if fine. If you took off unpaid you will have to wait with your
application and make up for the days you were off unpaid.
I'm gonna wait and give myself a two weeks buffer after gaining the 12 months, just to have some
room for miscalculations or whatnot.

I am having paid vacation..like i can take off 1 or 2 weeks i ll get my pay as usual ..

I ll make copy of my pay stubs and as far as i understood to be safe i ll do 25 copy and apply..this is my last year..

As per my knowledge, paid or unpaid. CIC counts for the 40 hours / week for one year consecutive. Why should we give them an excuse by taking a sick leave or a holiday (be it paid or unpaid). Its better to complete the time frame and take an extended holiday as well.

Don't bother about these misleading suggestions.
Paid vacation is counted for work experience as long as you are in a full time job.

I have visited out of country on paid vacation and counted it as work experience.

Let's keep it simple here:

- if you got paid for the time you were away - OK, can be counted towards CEC experience
- if you did not get paid - NOT OK, can not be counted towards CEC experience.

Did you notice on your CEC application that you took vacation and got out of country?

How CIC know its paid vacation or not?

When VO does calculation, he/she will notice that total salary divided by the hourly wage doesn't give 52 weeks; and thus VO knows there could be 1-2 weeks unpaid. Its a guess... !!!

Exactly!

OK but if person work overtime but not more than 44 hr week than how he get total by dividing?

How the VO will know or not know i frankly feel is none of our business ..just complete the required time and submit to avoid unnecessary delays ....its just great to see how a few people assume how the whole process goes down at CIC without any concrete evidence...!!
