Usually how long it takes to get file number if applied under PhD stream

Hi everybody,

I applied under PhD stream and the CIC office in Sydney received my application on early July, 2014.
But, still I have not received any response yet. I have checked the CIC website and entered my information, it could not find my application.

Please let me know how long it usually takes to receive the file number in skilled worker class/PhD stream?
