Using special character like ‘+’ in your job title.

I’m creating my profile for CEC but I’m not able to proceed with my job title C++ developer as mentioned in my employment reference letter. The form doesn’t accept ‘+’ character. I’m thinking of using Cpp instead of C++ and write a cover letter to explain it.
Did anyone face this issue earlier? What did you do?
