Using medical previously done for Family Sponsorship, for visitor visa

I have submitted an application as the sponsor for my wife (Spousal Sponsorship Class) and while that application will hopefully be looked at, we decided to apply for a visitor visa in the mean time so she can come and spend some time with me.

For our Spousal Application, of course she had to do an upfront medical examination which she did and we attached the confirmation sheet in that application. Now her visitor visa application is also requiring an upfront medical exam, do you guys know by any chance if we can use the same medical exam for this application as well? My logic would say yes, but only on the confirmation sheet of the medical, there is an item that says this was done for "family" class.

Thanks guys!

Go on right ahead.

I submitted my upfront medical from my Express Entry PR application for my TRV application and got my TRV stamped already.

I applied for the TRV online and answered yes to the question of having done medicals at a panel physician for the last 12 months...that might also be the reason your wife is being prompted for the same.

Awesome thanks! That's reassuring!

I plan on doing the exact same thing. We just sent in our PRV application and are planning to apply for TRV in a few weeks once we have our file number for the PRV. I plan to include the medical and police certificates as well as having a very strong invitation letter and purpose of visit to counter previous TRV refusal reasons on apps we made before we were married.

My wife is from the Philippines. May I ask where you folks are applying from?
