Hey Guys,

Quick question… Ive been tracking my application via the ecas portal and as of this afternoon the status has changed to 'decision made'. We are really eager to find out what decision has been made, however when we attempt to link the account to My CIC it states that because we used a representative (lawyer) we cannot view the application.

Is there any other way to find out? Its Friday and we all know that lawyers don't work weekends lol the wait is agonizing!!!

Reading through your previous posts, I take it that you (or your wife) is a July 2016 applicant. If so, and you saying that as per ECAS, the status changed to Decision Made, it means that your wife has been approved already as a PR. Expect that your lawyer will ask for your wife's passport very soon.

If you don't mind sharing which country your wife's VO is from?

Hi Survivor,

My wife is a canadian citizen and i am a british expat on a work visa which runs out in July 2017. We applied for common-law (before we were married) last July 2016. When checking Ecas, the last update was 'medical results received' and most recently (friday) the status changed from 'in process' to Decision made.

What is the next steps?
-Reading through the forum, I'm guessing we will have to send my passport away which will be returned with COPR which i would have to take to the buffalo boarder to 'officially' land?

As stated, my lawyer is our representative and are awaiting an email from him to tell us what the decision was (most likely to receive this tomorrow)

Is that correct?

Would suggest that if you do not hear from your lawyer on Monday morning your time - to give him/her a call in the afternoon. You are almost to the "finish line" and you would not want a day passing anymore without hearing anything :)

You are visa-exempt, so you don't send your passport. The COPR will be mailed out to you. You can then flagpole at the Canada-US border.
