Does anyone know if you use a representative can they submit the visa application for you or do you still have to apply yourself with the representative form and then after that cic communicates with the representative.

Yes. They can do everything for you. But you have to be active because it's your application.

Even if they can, you still have to be on top of things, you need to know the very details of your application. It's a matter of filling up and understanding the form, as well as proper documentation.

quite right. You can do it by yourself quite easily and lots of information is present at this forum as well at CIC to guide you at each and every step of your application.

Thanks so much for your responses. I'm actually thinking of acting as a representative for a relative. And I do believe doing it by yourself is just as effective I'm had problems in the past with lawyers giving wrong info and making things worse.
