Use of midwives while on visitor's visa

Hello all,

Is it legal to use midwives services in Ontario while on a visitors visa? Will that be considered a violation of the visa terms?

Also a related question: Does anyone know a reasonable or low cost hospital for giving birth around Toronto/Mississauga area?

It's certainly legal to use mid-wives. However based on the feedback on this forum, they seem to be in short supply and it's not always possible to find out.

To the best of my knowledge there isn't too much of a difference between hospitals in terms of costs. I would plan on $7,000 (assuming there are no complications).

Can you or someone recommend a good hospital in that area for birthing purposes?
