Usa travel for indian student between semester

Hi all i am here in canada on my study permit till march 2020
I applied for us travel visa and my appointment is on 16 august
I want to travel to usa on 26 august and will return on 2nd september i have booked air tickets as i want to visit my sister there, if i get my usa visa do i need a trv for canada as well to return to canada, i have study permit till march 2020

You don't need it if you are only planning to visit US and returning back without leaving US to any other country.

Not really, you should be good. I once left Canada for US on implied status with my expired TRV. If you have any doubt, you can always give CIC a call and they would be able to confirm you this info.
