USA illegal- canadian PR- family sponsership

Hi guys,
i have quick question here, referring to form IMM5669, Q4 sub d) where it is asked if you have been refused refugee status to Canada or any other country.

i am applying for my parents PR under family program and my dad had refused refugee status in US and he over stayed there and then came back to his country. i will fill the right info in his PR form but wondering if it will be having impact on his PR application here?
