US H1B abd B1 visa

Am currently in Canada and have applied for PR which is currently in process. Would like to know, whether I can apply for US H1B or B1 (business visa) at the same time.

In my opinion Yes you can.
the 2 countries do have different processes.
the real question is: will you get one of the 2 visas? Only GOD knows.

Am not sure about H1 as yet to submit the documents..but B1 my company has sent across the invitation letter.
