what are the repercussions as a US Green Card holder?

Can anyone please shed some light on following case:
The husband has got immigration under FSW category as a single applicant. Wife is right now in the USA as green card holder. For her she would need stay there for 3 more years to apply for US citizenship. Now, would it be wise for her to apply for Canadian immigration as Spouse while she is holding US Green Card?
What are the repercussions of this decision?
None of them are having a great career in either of the countries, so, in this circumstances what would be your frank recommendations to the spouse?
Is it possible to keep Green Card intact and yet having an immigration status in the Canada, as I have been told you can keep two citizenship status but not two immigration status?

Would appreciate your frank comment on the matter.
Will have no reservation to share further information such as what is the current respective profession of the couples? Their age? etc.

Thank you

Invictus :-

If one of the person has a Green Card USA. and he applies for Canadian immigration or has been sponsored by his/her spouse for Canadian immigration, once the immigration is completed when your wife will cross the border to entre Canada, American border and customs will ask her why is she leaving USA, if she tells them that she is moving to Canada to be with her husband as she has been sponcered by her husband (in alot of cases not all) USA immigration and border service will revoke her USA green card permanently. The reason they will give is that you are abandoning USA immigration and moving to Canada. I heard alot of people get into trouble on this.

Consult your Lawyer..

Cheers
