Guys my brother in law won in the DV Loterry and recieved a green card with his family. He already had sent an application to Canada few years ago...

Would having a green card affect Canada application? should he mention that when he sends the updates???

which path is better to continue with? I mean to grant a citizinship, quality of life , employment .... etc

Please advise us ??? all ideas are welcomed and highly appreciated

employment
USA has much more job opportunities compare to Canada.

citizenship
USA - after 5 years, Canada - after 3 years

quality of life
Both

Weather
USA is less colder in comparison.

Sponsorship to extended-family
Canada would take less time compare to USA

If you want to know on some specific issue, let the forum know.

You can apply for citizinship in Canada after 3 out of 4 years.. so I guess it should be 4 years for Canada 5 for USA

my question is :: Can they proceed with the application to Canada, should they mention the green card in their update??
