Hi Experts,

I came to US on F1 visa, then got my H1B visa here, while on H1B I applied for Canadian Immigration under Skilled Worker Program. I got the Canadian Visa last year (date of expiry July 2011).

This February I got married to US citizen and got my temp GC this week.

Now I want to go to Canada land there for a week and then come back to US. Is there going to be any issues with entry/reentry?

:DHi,

I don't think there would be any problem for landing Canada and return to US as you have the green card. If you don't wait in Canada till you get the PR card, you should make arrangments with any of your relative or friend to send it to you by courier. The next entry to Canada should be with PR Card.

Hi All,

I landed in Canada, at Immigrations I showed my passport with Immigrant Visa Stamp, and the IMM form that came with it. Official asked for an address where I will be staying & gave an ETA of 6 weeks for PR card to arrive at that address.

On my way back, US Immigration Official saw my passport and GC and stamped. So pretty smooth ride.

Lucky you! I wish I had one of all those cards and visas that you have :D

I am in the US on an F-1 visa with OPT and still looking for a job. I already consumed 30 days of unemployment :-[

a three-in-one alternative: find an American to marry instead of finding a job, applying H1, and then green card. :)

You GOT GC why you move to canada?
if I get GC I never go Canada, USA companies will offer nice salary comparing to Canadian companies.
your choice, but mostly H1B holder plan to go canada as backup plan.
