US Dollars as Proof of Funds at Port of Entry

Hi All,

I will be driving from US to Canada for landing.
Planning on carrying cash and checks in USD. Will that be acceptable at port of entry?

Or do we need to carry only CAD as POF?

Please advise since I only have a couple of days left.

That's what I had too, USD, when I did my landing. Although I didn't carry too much cash. I just had $300 cash and rest in the form of bank statements and a bank verification letter. It was all accepted with no issues.
