Hoping you guys can give me some direction.

I am a US Citizen who just received CoPR. I plan on doing my landing in Toronto within the next few weeks. I will need to return to the US to finish out my contract with my job but want to try and get my PR card before I need to return to Canada for the holidays. I will most likely be moving my stuff across the border mid-December via a Car so not too concerned about not having my physical card with me.

I will begin my search for employment in Canada shortly however my contract with my job would continue through the second week of February. I would be working a bit from Canada (considering it as working from home) and a bit from the US.

Does anyone have experience with this? Would it be a problem? I'm concerned about taxes and breaking any commitments of my CoPR.

Thank you in advance!

The only requirement to maintain your PR status is to be physically present in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years (starting from your landing). Everything else (what you're doing in Canada, what you're doing outside Canada etc) is irrelevant.

In regards to taxes speak to a competent accountant in Canada. They should be able to give you correct guidance for your situation.
Sorry for going off topic - I was looking at your signature with the dates. Hows that even possible? You got PR card in under a week? Passport with visa back in 7 days from NDVO?
