I am moving to Alberta, Red Deer. I am in my mid 20s Male fiance is in her early 30s and is female currently working as well. I want to get up there as soon as possible and support her it is hard to be separated for so long. Any help is Very Much Appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE :D

If you want to work immediately (without waiting to become a permanent resident), then you must first find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job. If your job falls under NAFTA, you can then go to the border and obtain a work permit. If your job does not fall under NAFTA, your employer must first go through the LMIA process which involves advertising the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role, paying a $1K fee, and then waiting several months for the LMIA to be processed. There is no guarantee the LMIA will be approved. If the LMIA is approved, you can then obtain a work permit at the border. Needless to say, it can be very difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.

Either way, the first step is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job.
