Hi All! I'm planning a road trip in June with a couple friends from San Diego, California to Vancouver, BC. My friends are going to fly back home to San Diego from Vancouver after a week. I work remotely for a company based out of Texas so I'll be staying in Vancouver for the Summer and will be returning to San Diego some time in September. I'll be working my remote job during my entire stay in Vancouver. My company has no clients based in Canada.

In my case, would I have to apply for a particular visa or would the visitor's visa I get at the border be sufficient enough?
Also, what paperwork should we bring to have an easy cross into Canada? We all have valid US passports.

Any insights are truly appreciated. Thanks!

You will not get a visa when entering Canada, as U.S. citizens are visa exempt. You will be allowed to stay for up to 6 months, based upon the CBSA officer's discretion.

So long as you are not working for a person, or company, in Canada and/or are not remunerated from a Canadian source, you will not need any work authorization.
