Hey all,

This may be a question that has already been answered, I just couldn't find a specific answer to my case.

I'm a US citizen.

I've been working in BC on closed work permit valid till late 2016.

My company is about to lay me off, in say March.

I DO have a job lined up In 5 months.

During that time I was going to return to the US for a few weeks. Will I have any issues returning to Canada?

Essentially, I wont be working for the company that my permit states, I will be unemployed at the time of departure and return.

Everything I own is up here and would hate for any hassles,
Thanks,
VFXW

1. You shouldn't have issues as long as you can prove that you can support yourself.
2. You know that you require a new LMIA and new work permit for the new employer?
