My boyfriend is planning on staying with me for 6 months in edmonton alberta, I will be paying fully for him, he will not be working or going to school. He will leave as close to the end of the 6 month period as possible and I will be travelling back to the US with him and living there for 6 months (to try and get a full 1 year of living together to try and apply for common-law).
what are the possible complications for him getting across the border? He will only be bringing 1-2 bags of clothing, no furniture or other possessions. If possible he will be brining a return ticket for the end of the 6 month period, what else can we provide/show to help get him across smoothly?
