I am a Canadian Permanent Resident and holder of US B1/B2 visa using which I have been travelling to United States. My parents from India will be arriving in Canada on a Visitor Visa. From Canada, they plan to travel with me to United States on Tourism purpose. They have their US B2 Visa interview in Chennai. They will be sponsoring their US Travel and have no immediate and other relatives in United States. Though they could come to United States directly from India and I could receive them there, most probably they plan to visit United States from Canada with me. Since they will be visiting Canada, if they have US visa, they can also visit US Destinations like DC and NYC etc. which has been their lifelong wish. My question was how should they approach this US B2 Visa interview in New Delhi. What should be their strategy to get past the visa interview successfully?

Shouldn't you share your experience with your parents?

My experience isn't applicable to them since I applied for US B1/B2 as a Canadian Permanent resident with invitation letter for business travel and I have a history of living in the US on H1B visa for close to 5 years. My parents are coming to the visa interview as residents of India, no previous international travel etc.

You didn't need to get an interview before you lived in the US?
