Hello everyone,

I urgently need an advise regarding spousal sponsorship. My application had exceed the processing time so I emailed Rome embassy and didn’t hear from them until now. I had submitted the webform as well and have an appointment with MP coming Friday.

However, the email I received from the embassy states that they did not receive the documents they had asked for in May. I had sent all documents in June and have the signature of the person who received it. Before this I had sent and enquiry email 3 months ago in which they did not mention anything about not receiving the documents.

My question is should I cancel the appointment with my MP since I got an answer from the embassy and have submitted the webForm. And will it have negative impact on my application if I meet the MP. As well, should I email the embassy to disregard the webform?.

Please advise me.

Thank you

I would suggest you go to the meeting. If they are setting that they didn't receive anything since they sent you the request, it may mean that they haven't actually done any work on your application since. 8 months is a long time to not have anything done on your application. I would show the signature as proof and demand an explanation for your file not being worked on. You can ask your mp if it's possible to file a complaint, maybe get your file processed a bit quicker? That being said, I went through this exact situation with London. Said they never received, even though I sent an email and was told that they did. Long story short, turns out the person who said they never received my documents, had no clue what was gong on, because they had and my application was already sent on to the next phase. Can't trust anyone these days . Lol

I think the first step you should do is to resend these documents and include an explanation letter to indicates the reasons for the delay .. keep your appointment with your MP maybe go see him/her earlier than Friday since it’s an emergency and every minute counts..

I hope u will hear some wonderful news soon and I’m sorry that u have to go through this !! It’s frustrating but u are almost there ..

You should definitely contact them, ask them about the status and apply for GSCM notes as well. I feel like also delyed the process by not emailing them before.

LOL o London They are very slow. My gckey was never updated. I actually had to email them and ask them to update it just so I knew what was what. If it's been 6 months I would definitely email them and ask what the status is of your application. If they haven't been active on your file, sending an email might get the ball rolling again.
