Hi,

I'm planning to travel to Canada and visit my daughter. There is a main general information form for visitor applicants. There is a section that you must state what kind of visa do you need (Something like that) and you should choose one of them. For example: Tourism, Family visit, Super Visa, Transit and etc. I didnt know the difference between Family visit visa and Super visa. I chose Super Visa because it's for parents/grand parents. I didnt know the difference. Last night, I checked the difference between them. I'm planning to visit Canada once and for 2-3 months, not for 2 years or more. So I want to switch it from Super Visa to Family visa. What shall I do? Where should I change it?

Kind regards,

Hi,

When did you apply? Your current application will be assessed as ineligible/inadequate host financial documents, lack of insurance, etc etc which means a refusal.

You must:
1. Send a Case Specific Enquiry + email to the relevant visa office requesting to allow you to withdraw your application. You can then reapply correctly later.

2. Or in the same CSE/email, you can mention that if you are not allowed to withdraw the application then request the visa office to consider it as a TRV and not as a super visa

Cheers

Hi,
I applied last night and received the Biometric letter today.
I have few questions.
1. Where should I fill a CSE?
2. I'm applying from Iran. Shall I contact Ankara Visa Office?
3. If I withdraw my application, would they give back my money?
4. What e-mail shall I use? Like xxx@cic.gc.ca or something like that? What email shall I use?
Thanks.

PS- I have not gone to any office for biometric test (Finger print and picture). Can I withdraw it easily? (Don't forget to answer those previous questions, too :) thanks)

1. You can send the CSE through this: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=ankara

2. Yes, the CSE link is for the Ankara visa office

3. Only the visa office will be able to answer this one. You may get a refund if processing has not started.

4. Email: ankara-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

5. The visa office will let you know if you can withdraw your application. Don't give your biometrics until you get a response from the visa office. If you don't receive a reply then follow up again after a week

Alright. I e-mail'ed them with my full name, application number and details. I asked them about refund and few other question. And I asked them if it's possible to consider my application as a visitor visa.
So if they agree to consider the application as a visitor visa application, is it required to post a CSE request on the main website too? Shall I withdraw it and reapply? Or is it acceptable to go through stages with this current application?

Tnx

You must send the CSE also rightaway. As you have applied online, it is possible that your application is being processed by some other visa office and not necessarily the Ankara visa office.

When you asked for a refund, I presume you stated you want to withdraw your application. And you also added that if you are not allowed to withdraw it then the application must be considered as a TRV one. Right?

If you get a reply that your app will be considered as a TRV then you do not have to withdraw it + you can then give your biometrics (you must do this within 30 days of getting the biometrics letter)
