My mom is undergoing a major surgery at the end of this year. She wants to sponsor her sister to visit Canada to take care of her for a maximum of 3 months. Other than me and my dad, my mom has no other family connection in the country. After the surgery, she needs someone to take care of her at home, but I'm leaving for Europe soon and my dad will be busy at work. My aunt's visit will be providing a caregiving function here in Canada for my mother.
Is this a sufficient reason for granting a visa to my aunt? My aunt has a child, job and a house at home so I think she can demonstate to the visa officer that she will be retuning home after her visit, as she has strong ties in her home country.
Any suggestion and comments will help, as this is a very urgent case.
Many thanks.
Ps: Should I consider contacting my federal Member of Parliament to seek the support of my MP's office on this case?
