Urgent: Sending Application on Monday...Please Guide!!

Dear Forum Friends,

Hope you doing great!!

I am sending Business Multiple Visa application to CIO (Nairobi, Kenya) on Monday.
I am invited for a Trade Show held in Toronto next month, I have been given Invitation Letter and I registered as an Attendee to which I have confirmation Email.

On my side, I am business woman, married and 23 years, Indian citizen but in Africa since my age 9.
My fellow director (who is my husband too) has written a covering letter defining my title, shares, that company is sponsoring my stay.....

I will be attaching my:

business registration papers,
Income tax returns(past 3 months),
directors tax (3 months),
memorandum, - all 4 will be notarized...
then bank letter + bank statement + financial report of last year (all these original)
Funds showing around $ 22,000/-
Plus marriage certificate + hotel bookings...

I will be going via New York (already have visa for US) and on my return even will stay for 1 day in new york (do i need to show new york hotel booking)???

Duration of stay in Canada - 13 nights.

Please guide if any thing else...

Hi,

I suggest you should apply in-person if you want your visa stamp ahead of time. Try to read and search TRV's New York processing time, it's 30 days processing time based on their website but it's case to case basis I guess. Some of them have it in 14 days, 30 days, some of them even waiting 44 days 'til now.

I wish i could go in person but the embassy is in different country... Passport will be delivered then how will i cross border???

Hi,

If you need your original passport just send a certified copy of the biodata page of your passport then wait for passport request from the embassy

If you don't submit the original passport with a copy, as per the checklist the application will be returned.

I CANT BELIEVE WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH ME..
I SENT MY APPLICATION VIA DHL BUT THE SENT MY DOCUMENTS TO INDIA BY MISTAKE INSTEAD OF KENYA.
ON THE WEBSITE OF CIC IT SAYS THEY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR VISA ONLY ON THURSDAYS...AND TODAYS DAY ITS GONE IN TENSION.

I JUST THE CIC OFFICE KENYA AND TALKED TO THE VISA OFFICER. HE SAYS WE ACCEPT EVERYDAY AND THAT WILL BE THE 1ST DAY OF PROCESSING THE DAY THE RECEIVE. AND IT WILL TAKE 5 DAYS...

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME THAT MY PACKAGE REACHES...ITS STILL IN INDIA.

I AM SO WORRIED, MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT IS THERE WITH MANY VALID VISA OF OTHER COUNTRIES + MANY ORIGINAL DOCS.......SO MUCH TENSED..

By all the obstructions on my way...Finally its in hands of the CIC...

Well the application just reached today at 11.41 am. so will wait for 5 days as the Visa Officer said 5 days ate the processing days.
Lets just wait and watch...
I hope i get it...dont wanna miss the exhibition.

Hi, yes i got just after 5 days for 10 years multiple.. And I am even back from Canada.. Very nice place.

Im also planning to submit my application this coming wednesday because i want to see my family, i hope they will grant me the visa, im from singapore working but my home is philippines wish me luck im planning to visit them this novmber
