Am from Nigeria and I was deny TRV 3 times before . The Last time i applied was 2014 and its was deny. Now I received an invitation letter from one company in Canada. I want you to give me guide and the letter of explanation in other to use it to back my visa application. I have traveled to USA, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Kenya, Ghana, Togo, Lesotho and South Africa as for my travel history. Am working in Telecommunications Company here in Nigeria. Am a married man and have 2 kids. I have landed properties and my inlaw gave me Power of Attorney to act on his behave since he is not educated.
I paid my Tax yearly and also have the car documents and my rented apartment.
Please kindly give me the guide line and any supporting documents which i suppose to add to my application. Also please if you have any letter of explanation. Please kindly send me to through my email and any relevant documents or information which its gonna help me .

2. Letter of Invitation, Hotel Reservation, Flight Booking, Employment Letter, Pay Slip, Leave Letter, Tax Clearance, Marriage Certificate, Landed Properties, Birth certificate of my kids, Wedding Pictures and my kids, Rented Apartment receipt and agreement, Power of Attorney, Statement of Account.

You have not mentioned the reasons for your previous TRV refusals.

Also, did you apply for business or tourism purposes for your previous TRV applications?

Hello Bryanna,
in 2011 I applied as a student which my application was rejected. 2013 and 2014 i applied for visitor visa its was also rejected. I applied as Tourism Visa . Can i ask you one question. When i received the Invitation Letter from the company to attend the conference, am i going to apply as Tourism or Business.
The Reason they sent to me was Following an examination on your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirement of the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. I am therefore refusing your application.
1. Have the sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada.
2. Have the sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canad, to maintain yourself and family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of stay.
3. Purpose of Visit
That is the three reasons they gave me after i submitted bank statement worth 7,000 CAD Dollars. Just to stay for 7 days during my visit.

I have created Account with CIC.. But with my suprise, There is no place to upload Flight Booking and its only one place to upload the Letter of Explaination.. Please put me through now because i want to study it very well and Also teach me on how to fill the form and upload it one by one.. I dont want to do mistake again.

Hi,

You will have to apply as a business visitor.

Quite honestly, after three refusals, it is not going to be easy to convince the visa officer that you are a genuine visitor who will not overstay/work illegally. Also, if would have helped tremendously if you had visited the US/UK/Schengen after these three refusals, and not prior to it.


You must submit the following:
For the conference: Invitation Letter + evidence to prove the conference is related to your area of work + brochure/promotional literature on the conference + hotel/flight bookings (provisional)

Is your employer paying for your visit?

For your employment: Employment letter + leave approval letter stating you'll have your job when you return + 6 months pay slips + 2 years ITRs

For financials: 12 months bank statements (the balance must match your sources of income) + financial investments (bank term deposits, shares, pension funds, etc..... state what is available as liquid funds for your visit) + 3-4 months' credit card statements (if the dues are low)

There should be no large, last-minute deposits in your bank account..... nothing borrowed

For your properties: Property ownership documents + self-valuation/valuation by a chartered accountant + property tax receipts.... if any property is rented then the rent agreement + 3 months rent receipts + highlight the payments in your bank account

For your family ties: The documents you have mentioned + evidence that they are dependent on you financially/their well being

Additional ties: The Power of Attorney of your in-laws + any evidence to show you have represented your in-laws for some property matter + other ties or example if you volunteer for charity causes


You must also include some reason to return by a specific date with evidence.... specific work commitments (project completion, appraisal, pay hike, etc)/a wedding in your immediate family/some other legal, medical or business reason

If you have traveled to the US/UK/Schengen/other countries in the last 10 years..... then you can make an Explanation: My Travel History.... in a table, you can give the details of each visa + visit dates + purpose of each visit + scan each visa


Do prepare a Covering Letter stating your previous refusals + separate section to list your strong ties to Nigeria + you must return by XX date

Thank you for all the information you gave me. I will be responsible for my visit. I was refused time with student visa after they refused me student visa and i applied for US Visa, UK and Schengen Visa which my visa was approved. i applied for Visitor Visa in 2013 and 2014 and my application was rejected. But the problem am having now is that I have secured another job in Oil and Gas Company now that is why they sent me Invitation letter on Oil and Gas. I got the job by 2014 after the refusal of my application in Canadian Deputy High Commission. Please kindly inbox me the cover letter and how to explain the refusal. I dont want to make any mistake. Its only one place they create in the online application. There is no place to upload the Power of Attorney and others relevant documents. Bryanna, If i may ask if i want to apply Online Its To Conduct Business I will click or Tourism or Other?
Also enlighten me on how to convince the consular that am a genuine visitor. Please kindly help me out Inbox me everything. or you can post it here so that its gonna help others who is the same shoe.

I have seen the cover letter you sent to me.
When I click on Business, Its stated four options for me to click. Which should i click there. Please i need your respond very asap.

What type of business will you be conducting in Canada?
I want to conduct international business activities in Canada, but will not enter the Canadian labour market.
I want to purchase Canadian goods and services for a foreign business or government, and/or go on training related to these goods and services.
I want to take or give training with a Canadian corporation (or subsidiary) that employs me outside of Canada. Goods and services received from the training is incidental.
I am representing a foreign business or government and want to sell goods on behalf of the business or government. (No sales to the general public).

As you're coming for a work-related seminar.... but you're paying for your visit (not your employer)..... then I would recommend that you do NOT reapply for a TRV again.

IMO, you could get yet another refusal for 'Purpose of Visit'.

My advice: Wait until you have a more convincing 'Purpose of Visit'

What if the company want to pay for my visit ? Because i have discuss it with the management and they are ready to pay my trip. But they want to know the documents they will give me to support my application.
What documents did company will provide?
And also i want to know the documents if someone want to apply as tourist. Please gimme the load down of the documents required.

What if the company want to pay for my visit ?

1. Your employer must include a letter stating they will pay for your airfare/hotel/all expenses + they approve your visit to Canada for the seminar from XX date to XX date + how the seminar will help you at work/the company + contact details of HR/your manager if IRCC wants to verify any information

2. Company profile/some information about the company you work for + the website details

3. Company bank statements + company credit card statements (if the employer has issued a credit card to you)

4. Provisional flight and hotel bookings made by your employer (your employer can state these bookings will be confirmed/paid for if you are issued a TRV)

Hello Bryanna,
Thank you for all the information you are given me concerning the requirements. I was with HR today and i explain everything with him and he said he dont wanna make mistake by writting the letter. But he suggested that if you have the sample of the letter, You should please kindly forward it to me and he will make the adjustment. Our Company deal with Oil & Gas, He said you should explain further on how i will benefit and what the company will benefit from it as well. Please Bryanna your assistant will be appreciated.

Hi,

Only you and your employer know how the seminar will benefit you/your employer. So, you'll have to write those details yourself.

As for the letter from your employer stating they will pay for your visit, etc etc.... you can Google for a suitable format

My company have gave me their company profile, inculding bank statement, company registration certificate, tax certificate, memo of associate and letters. Please i want to confirm something from you... If i fill the TRV Form online , do i need to sign the scan it ? with family form. Please kindly enlighten me on how to fill the with out any mistake. And also my statement of account is ready, tax certificate, payslip, employment letter, approve of leave, marriage certificate, landed properties, power of attorney wedding pictures, my kids pictures, cover letter, project am doing now. Please guide me on what documents that is missing here.
