Received a replacement document request for a divorce certificate.
Note: currently re-married, spouse is part of visa process, current marriage certificate is fine.
The issue with the divorce certificate document I previously uploaded, is that it's a court issued, stamped divorce decree with a document title of "Certification" - as opposed to a divorce certificate which is separately issued by the state health department of New York.
I was not aware this separate certificate existed until today.
I have ordered a copy of the certificate but there's a 2 month delay.
The problem is I have 7 days to upload the divorce certificate.
I'm planning on uploading an LOE about the miscommunication on my part and the reciept of my purchase of the divorce certificate, along with the original court ordered decree I originally uploaded.
Is the above strategy sound? I'm not sure what else I can do. I've received a provincial nomination, so I'm worried about having to go through the entire process all over again.
