I changed my name legally now i need to apply new name on pr card but i will be travelling in May. Can i apply urgent application also is there anybody who got their pr card in one month?? Kindly give ur feed back

Provide proof of travel and write "urgent, proof of travel included". You may or may not get it before your trip. Do not send your current PR card with your application. If you do not receive the new one then use the old one to travel and carry proof of name change.

Agree with CanV, I did my PR renewal last year on urgent bases. I got it in 5weeks. But had to do alotta run around for that, apparently was processed in 3weeks then was told transfered to local office which should have been Mississauga and I should get a letter for pick up. None of that happened. Day before my travel I decicded to go to etobicoke office to see if I can get any answer will all paperwork. Luckily they had my PR card there. BTW till date no pick up letter when called CIC they said they r aware it urgent I should get phone call instead. No phone call either. Sorry don't mean to discourage you, all m saying is give it some lieu time as well.

Thanks for ur replies... so if i apply now i will have 2 months atleast and i will get with in 2 months atleast...
