Hello All ,
I am applying for our citizenship . I left Canada two times to see my parents in Pakistan during the past five years. I took flight on 29th November from Canada and reached Pakistan on 1 December . Please do let me know to calculate the time away from Canada / physical presence i will consider 29th or 1 December ? what about the days i spent in airline in transit ?

Thanks for your help and guidance .

if you input those dates into physical presence calculator , it will tell you.

have you filled out "physical presence calculator"?

Consider the day you left Canada not the day you reached Pakistan, in your case 29th Dec.Days that really matter are days you left Canada and days you return.

Yes put the dates in physical presence calculator . total number of days vary with input dates . Please advice

Yes I applied just in June this year and I did not spend days outside Canada since I moved here. Just follow the calculator instructions.

Yes, this is the way it works. The day you left and the day you arrive matters.
