TRV has expired for my friend, and he needs to travel to India urgently. Can he apply for passport stamping in India with a valid work permit? He's feeling uncertain due to the current situation. Could someone kindly provide an answer to this inquiry?

He can go to India but the bigger issue is coming back. He would need to apply for a TRV which took quite a while before this diplomatic meltdown.
