Urgent! Police certificate related question

Hey everyone,

I am currently facing a problem related to the PC. I have been invited and submit my application recently. I am a Chinese and currently living in US. My grandpa is sick seriously now and I need to go back to see her....

I would like to know if I can go back to China during the processing time for immigration approval. Since the CIC website says "have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you LAST lived in that country or territory", I am wondering whether I will violate the rule and ruin my application if I visit China about 12 days after I have submit my application.

Very urgen. Need to book the ticket right away. Please leave any opinion.

If I were you, I'd get another police certificate upon returning to China just to be safe. Once back in the States, you could open a CSE and send the new certificate along with a LoE explaining the reason for travelling.
Since this is a family emergency, don't think it would cause you problem
