last month ndvo officials visit my home and hometown means neighbours and other people.after a week we got a interview email.meanwhile we submitted the extra proof of realtionship like western union reciepts and the pictures.after a week principle applicant got a call from ndvo that they are cancelling the interview and said you people dont need it. If anything required in future we will mail u or phone u.the officer on the phone was super nice and polite.we are confused now is it a positive sign or negative.please help guys.

You will have to wait and see. Waiving the interview is usually a good thing, as the interview is usually required it they still have some concerns about the application that they want to dig a little deeper into.

Like wait_so_long said if they waived the interview that's a great sign. Interviews allow them to clear up any misunderstandings or to ask about something they need more information about, and if they don't need it, it means they have all the information they need, be it through the extra proof you provided or their visit. Be patient and see what else they suggest.

Interviews are stressful situations, as your future hangs on the balance. They seem to take great pleasure in catching you on little inconsistencies, misinterpreting what you say, and twisting your words around. They expect every relationship to fit their little model of what a genuine relationship should look like.

Likely, not all interviewers are like that, but that seems to be the general consensus of the people that get refused at the interview and end up in the appeals thread on this forum.
