URGENT PLEASE.......... FEE RECEIPT

Hi all,

I was almost ready to send my application today. On Friday, after preparing all documents i paid my fee online , but i never got bar-code receipt . I only got transaction receipt with amount , transaction reference no. and date and time of transaction. I called CIC and agent told me that our clients are no longer have to send official bar-code receipt rather all the info they need is on transaction receipt.He said i will get bar-coded receipt in my email but i never got one.

Today i was almost ready to mail my application to CIC but i called them just to make sure that i can send my file without official bar-code receipt . But lady agent said no i cant send my application without receipt and she said they will send receipt in my mail but it gonna take 5 business days .

I was unable to retrieve my receipt online too.


So my worry is that one CIC agent is saying that i dont need official receipt and i can just send transaction receipt . on the other hand the other

CIC agent is saying that i need official bar-code receipt otherwise my application can be returned and she wanted me to wait 5 business days.


Anyone have any idea what to do in this situation.

I would advise to wait for the receipt. 5 more business days won't make a big difference in the processing time, and it's always better to have a complete application rather than try to prove later on to CIC that you have paid, but didn't get a receipt etc etc. So - since the receipt is coming soon, wait and include it in your application.
