Hello guys, i need you help and suggestions asap

I need to travel to my home country urgently and i already booked my tickets. I became pr last month and waiting for my pr card to arrive, my situation is right now that i cant wait for pr card to arrive as i need to travel. Per CIC website, PR would take around 71 days to arrive and i dont have this much time to wait. I have checked about PR travel document on CIC website and thinking of applying from my country but i am not whether i will get this due to some staying mandates/rules.

I got my pr last month so can i apply for this document and what are the chances that i would get travel document? Can someone help me on this matter and criteria?

You will be eligible for it, but you would need to apply at the Canadian consulate/embassy in your home country. Make sure to carry all of the required documents with you (i.e. COPR / Landing Record) and apply as soon as you reach your home country in case there are any delays in processing. You may also want to bring evidence showing ties to Canada, just to be on the safe side, but they probably won't ask for this as you're a new PR.

Thanks Seton, what made me worried is one of my friend got rejected for travel document last yr. He became pr but under different category and left to his home country without pr card. When he applied for this document he got denied and was not told any reasons why he was denied. he told me it was due to same time frame

Most of the offices in Asia were closed due to strike. Before leaving make sure Visa Office in your home country is not closed.
If you going to India, Delhi & Chandigarh offices are closed.
